Poets in the southern separate of France preferred passion, emotion and simplicity of expression to reason and well-learned craft. In the medieval times poetry was emotional and non critical. The poems that were compose were telling their true feelings this was the only way they could express how they feel about the one they love and knew they could not build that one person they want.
