Ballet can be historically traced back to the Italian Renaissance during the 1400s. Trey McIntyre grew up in the rural town of Wichita, Kansas, and started his true dance charge at the North Carolina School of Arts. He furthered his genteelness at the Houston Ballet Company. He then joined the Houston Ballet as a corps de ballet in 1990, the same year he choreographed his first piece, Skeleton Clock. At first glance, his work comes off as whimsical and abstract, but when closely watched structure and meaning are definite concepts in his choreography.
