Study on anaphora in US Presidents' speeches

The study is the study on the use of one of the rhetorical devices anaphora in political speeches by U.S Presidents. Its objective is to collapse the effectiveness of anaphora in the selected speeches. The anaphora analyzed in this thesis includes the repetition of same structural patterns and the use of the freshman plural personal pronoun we. Out of five speeches, two be Bill Clintons Inaugural Addresses and three are George W. scrubbings speeches concerning the war on Iraq, worldwide terrorism and pacification in the Middle East. The conclusion can be worn that U.S Presidents deliberately use anaphora as a rhetorical device in their speeches to effectively get their messages across.
