Losing Innocence
Killing honor is alike(p) killing a mockingbird. Evil has overpowered everything and makes you lose the good in things. It is hard to empathize and experience evil without losing faith. The theme of innocence being garbled, like killing a mockingbird, is shown by pathfinder maturing, Jem learning about(predicate) justice, and Boo def depoting Jem and Scout.
Scout lost innocence throughout the story as she matured, especi wholey when she has to spot with grown up conflicts in her family. She has to learn how to keep her modify with many people when Atticus gets put onto Tom Robinsons case. Atticus warns her that people will be talking about him rudely, but she cannot let it bother her and she has to keep living as if nothing was wrong. Atticus also tells her, You never really understand a person until you consider things from his point of view . . . until you approach into his skin and walk around in it (Lee 30). Scout puts herself in Boos skin when she stands on his porch at the end of the novel. She is able to see his whole perspective on the conflicts in the book, and is really able to understand the view he is flood tide from.
Jem learning about justice is another example of losing innocence.



Jem grows up and learns that when you do something wrong, you have to fix it. When he attacks Mrs. Duboses flowers with a baton, he has to make it up to her by reading to her every day. Jem also learns about unfair life and the hard humankind out there. Jem knows that Tom Robinson should have been innocent, and that he did not fuck up Mayella. Yet, Tom is still found guilty in the case, and he is arrested and taken to prison. Jem gets upset, and his innocence was lost, since he has to grow up in order to understand the unfair ways of the jury, and the unjust decisiveness they make.
