Arthur miller and His Works
In the year 1953, the American playwright Arthur Miller wrote one of his roughly successful plays, The melting pot. It was during this same time that numerous people accused him of involvement with the communistic Party. If someone were pretend of communist ties in the 1950s, he was treated harshly because at the beginning of the Cold War era in America, collectivism was considered Americas most fearful enemy. The plot of The Crucible focuses mainly on false accusations in the Salem hex Trials of 1692. The reason Miller chose the subject of false accusation is most likely because the people of his generation accused him of involvement with the Communist party which was analogous to what captivatecraft would have been in the novel seventeenth century. Based entirely on the Salem witch trials, The Crucible does a superb job of turning that ravage time period into an entertaining yet tragic play.
Arthur Miller, natural on October 17, 1915, in New York City, was a famous American playwright who composed many literary masterpieces. Born into a wealthy family, Miller was accustomed to having whatever he desired, that is, until the bulky Depression caused his family to go bankrupt. During this time of uncertainty, Miller worked several jobs to personate ahead enough money to pay for his college.



His efforts were successful and he was adapted to earn enough money to go to the University of Michigan. Miller had ever so known he would be a writer so while at Michigan, he worked part time as an editor for a local paper. It was during his college years that Miller wrote his send-off play, No villain which remarkably won him the Avery Hopwood Award, a major(ip) scholarship program at the University of Michigan. He followed No Villain with another play, Honors at Dawn which, astonishingly, won him the same award.
