In the novel, The Mother, The reader is exposed to the inner frustrate within the protagonist. Paul, who is a priest of a small village, finds himself in a spiritual and moral battle between smashing and evil. Although Paul chooses early on to keep his oath to divinity and sever his relations with a woman, his concealed agony persists. in spite of appearance this a few small stories take place which unhinge Paul from his combat. When she is accompanied by her obtain to the home of Paul, she resists in every way, even trying to mo her mother. Ninas mother, ashamed of her daughters actions, believes that she can be delivered from this evil simply by the reading of the word of God. As Paul reads the scripture in her presence she appears to become stable. externally Nina Masia seems to be free. Appearances can be deceiving.
