Bio
Frederick W. Taylor was born on 20 March, 1856 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania into a wealthy Quaker family. His father was a lawyer and mother was an abolitionist. He was taught early education by his mother and travelled Europe as a teenaged to widen his base of knowledge. After re good turn back to this country, he was accepted into Harvard Law but, due to poor eyesight he had to consider another career. He gains shop-floor experience as a patternmaker while living in Philadelphia. And in 1878, Taylor obtained employment in a machine shop. Here he progressed up through the ranks of gang-boss, foreman, research director, and finally chief engineer. While he worked, he in like manner took classes to acquire his degree as a machinelike Engineer. After inform and marriage, he worked as a normal manager and a consulting engineer to counsel. For six years, beginning in 1893, he operated his own business as a consultant to manufacturing concerns. In 1898, Taylor joined Bethlehem Steel; where he and others developed spicy speed steel. He received numerous awards on ontogenesis the process of making high speed steel tools. He was forced to leave Bethlehem Steel due to antagonisms with other managers.

He eventually became a professor at the business school at Dartmouth College. He died of pneumonia one day after turning 59 and is buried in Pennsylvania.
