The Internet a revolutionary scape:
The impact of digital and internet technology has been a monumental driver in our ever changing world. Organisations, both secret and cosmos sector are embracing its importance as an intrinsic element in achieving required operational levels. The construct of a market-place & ‘market-space’ (McFarlan et al. 1977) merger has been identified by organisations as a critical success factor in their overall divine service offerings.
As Biro suggests imagine doing business without walls and there’s nothing between you and your customer (Biro 1997; cited by Groucutt & Griseri 2004).
The internet has morphed from universe still a shop-front/medium to relay information for
organisations to a “point of purchase” (e-commerce). An arguably slow progression though in terms of organisations failing to timely realise the hazard this tool represents in considerations of Ease of Transaction, Reliability , Scalability , Effectiveness etc just to mention a few.
The private sector has led the way of life in delivering customer focussed services, which can be accessed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week via the internet.
