Once we came up with ideas we would present them to the Director of Human Resources and the Director of Operations for feedback and their benediction to proceed. After agreeing that we would proceed with implementing a wellness program for employees, I agreed that I would write the memo to the Directors for their approval to pop the research. The memos were presented and the group was invited to a meeting by the Directors to further hash out the details of the program.

After the meeting, we received their approval and the process began to implement the wellness program. During our initial group meeting, we decided that it was important to discern a group leader that would guide the progress of the program and ensure the team was doing their part to complete assignments in a timely manner to meet deadlines. The leader was nominated by voting; whoever received the most number of votes was assigned as the leader. Based on the outcome of the votes, I was appointed as the group leader and my responsibilities were to outline the strategies that would be used to implement the program, also assign roles to the members of the group and provide support, motivation and passion to the group.
