S unverbalisedae Cannon January 24, 2012 English Composition 100 Mrs. Dabous Anthony Patton: My Life Story Born prematurely in the fall of 1984, Anthony Patton would nigh certainly consider himself a work-in-progress. He has numerous traits which he considers to be valuable, but like e veryone else, he does admit to having many less favorable ones. Most of his traits argon relative to his upbringing as a kid. Growing up on the streets of South Philly, Patton describes how he was able to survive most the gun violence and gangs. âI was exposed at a young age. I only had my mother in my life. My mamma always told me that I crowd out do anything I qualify my mind to. Being a single parent was hard for her and being as though I was the only child at the time, losing me to the streets was her macroscopicalgest fearâ. (Patton).When asked how having just a mother nigh benefitted him in life Anthonyâs eyes watered. âIt was a big benefit to me actually. Even though my mother raised me by herself there was never a time where we had to struggle.â He pauses for a few short moments, looks up at the ceiling ahead he continues. âI kind of felt some vitrine of remorse for my mom.
She always had a companion but I didnât want my mom to depend on person to help her financially. At this time I read a lot, which helped my imagination. I learned different things such as how to salve and communicate. When I was old enough to work, I found a job. That was my main objective, help bring extra income inâ. Anthonyâs passion in life is music but most importantly working with children. He feels if he can represent a common interest then he can use that to teach children discipline, teamwork, self-respect, the importance of high personal expectations, and doing your very best at everything you do.
